REGULATIONS FOR THE PREFERENTIAL LANE
The Preferential Lane may be accessed by service vehicles from the following categories:
- State organisations (ENAC, Customs, State Police, Financial Police, Military Police, Prison Administration Police, Forest Rangers, Fire Brigade, Local Police, Air Force, ENAV, Air Health Services, the Italian Red Cross);
- Consular Services;
- SACBO S.p.A.;
and by vehicles of Airport Operators involved in the following services:
- Taxis from municipalities which form part of the Lombardy airport catchment area;
- Taxis from municipalities not belonging to the Lombardy airport catchment area;
- Consortium for Limousine service operators;
- Public transport buses;
- Contracted company buses;
- Tour buses;
- Vehicles for the transportation of disabled people (private or third party vehicles if used for this service);
- Emergency service vehicles (health emergencies, for urgent intervention regarding systems which are essential for the functioning of the airport, ambulances, vehicles for the urgent transportation of medicines).
Tour buses can access the Preferential Lane provided that they stop and/or park in the dedicated areas with the payment of the relative tariff. Tour buses are obliged to pay for their access within 6 days at the Parking Cash Desk in order to avoid sanctions.
Taxis which are not from municipalities which form part of the Lombardy airport catchment area are obliged to pay for their access either in advance or within 6 days via email to the address email@example.com or at the relative office of the local police in order to avoid sanctions. The following information must be provided: vehicle registration number, driving licence, identity document, date of transit.
Disabled passengers are obliged to pay for their access either in advance or within 6 days via email to the address firstname.lastname@example.org or at the relative office of the local police in order to avoid sanctions. The following information must be provided: vehicle registration number, disabled permit, identity document, date of transit.
In order to satisfy particular requirements, SACBO S.p.A., having evaluated any requests, provides a list of vehicles authorised for determined periods of time.
Unauthorised vehicles or vehicles without the appropriate permission to pass are automatically communicated to the relative authorities for the evaluation of the sanction provided for by the regulations in force.
Vehicles which need to take the Preferential Lane must not exceed the maximum permitted height allowed by the roof of the structure covering the lane. In particular, bus drivers and drivers of vehicles for maintenance work must confirm that the height of their respective vehicles does not exceed the maximum permitted height.
Having accessed the Preferential Lane, following the direction indicated by road signs and in respect of the highway code, vehicles must be parked in the respective allocated spaces.
In consideration of the limited space available and the priority requirements for security, the parking of authorised vehicles must in any case be limited to the period of time strictly necessary in order to carry out operational requirements.
The Preferential Lane at Orio al Serio airport is governed by the dispositions of the Highway Code for all aspects regarding road travel. The sanctions regarding the non-observance of said regulations will be applied following verifications carried out by the Local Police, communicated to the transgressor and managed by the relative organisations for the subsequent legal procedures (notification, injunctions etc.); the sanctions issued by electronic detection systems will be handled by the Traffic Control Centre of the Municipality of Orio al Serio.
3. MODIFICATIONS TO REGULATIONS
SACBO S.p.A reserves the right to update, integrate and modify the present regulations, with notification to ENAC, in order to render ever safer the movement of traffic within airport territory.
4. COMMUNICATION AND SIGNAGE
The present regulations are communicated to users of SACBO S.p.A. through publication on the company website and appropriate signs placed both at the entrance to airport territory and the start of the Preferential Lane.
5. HANDLING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to Legislative Decree 30.06.2003 n. 196, it is communicated that SACBO S.p.A. adheres to the fundamental principles for the protection and safeguarding of personal data and that the same, collected by systems, are handled principally automatically, with appropriate guarantees regarding security and privacy, and are governed directly by the Orio al Serio local police.
The Preferential Lane is undergoing testing until April 2, 2017.
